Well, I just got a crazy idea. Let's find someone who will help us. Let's write an open letter to "hippie organizations" around the States. Maybe they could help us. That is, of course, if such "organizations" exist. 
I know you may think they can't literally help us translate the lyrics, but we are all aware that they can help us understand a great deal of what I call "the background" of the text [some proffessors may call it different ways. Or the same way. I don't care:)]
Knowing the background will make it all much easier.
Hmmm... Or, perhaps we could write to a random American high school and ask them to ask their students to write essays on the songs? Who knows what might come out of that?
Well, I'm waiting for your opinion:)
